How should you read these figures?
Read them as a picture of a transition. The headline GDP number is negative because oil output fell, not because the rest of the economy shrank. Tourism, small businesses, manufacturing and real estate regulation all moved forward in the same period. That is the context for every domain in this portfolio: names for sectors that are growing inside an economy that is reducing its dependence on oil.
The Foreign Direct Investment ranking (13th globally in 2025) comes from UNCTAD's World Investment Report 2026, as cited by the Ministry of Finance. We did not check it against the UNCTAD report itself.
